This filter replaces the MERV 11 rated media filter for the LakeAir M-22 air purifier.  This filter should be changed seasonally to assure the highest efficiency of your air purifier.

Replacement Media Air Filter Description

This product is the replacement media air filter for the LakeAir M-22 Furnace Filter Frame. It has a MERV 11 rating and is disposable, extended surface area, thick with cotton-polyester blend media, cardboard frame. This filter is suitable for commercial and residential buildings and should be replaced seasonally. Its Z-Line pleated filters offer improved performance for virtually every application,  providing high performance with low pressure drop for energy efficiency.  All Z-Line pleated filters feature fibers that do not absorb moisture and will not support microbial growth.  The  LakeAir MERV 11 Z-Line replacement media filters achieve a MERV 11 rating per the ANSI/ASHRAE 52.2 Test Standard.

Filter Construction

LakeAir MERV 11 air filters are of an extended-surface pleated-media type.  The media is made of 100% synthetic fibers.  The media is pleated in a tapered radial configuration. The more pleats per foot, the better. The thicker the filter, the more surface area per pleat.  A heavy duty, recycled expanded metal reinforcement is laminated to the air-exit side of the media by a thermo-setting adhesive to maintain continuity of the radial pleats.  The expanded metal is galvanized to resist rust and corrosion.  The pleated cartridge is bonded to the peripheral interior of the outer frame.  The filter frame is made from a heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board made from recycled materials.  The LakeAir replacement media air filter frame face is internally laminated to the pleated cartridge apexes.  LakeAir replacement filters are classified under U.L. std. 900 and rated to withstand temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

Recommended Uses

LakeAir replacement media air filters are well suited for the removal of dust, mold, pollen, dander, and other pollutants that may be present in homes or commercial buildings. People with asthma and other breathing relating illnesses can benefit from these non-ozone emitting filters. For even more cleaning power the MERV 11 filter can be treated with a Healthful Home Mold Magnet. this spray on treatment can raise the MERV rating by up to 7 levels. It Helps the Filter capture 1000X more mold spores, bacteria, and virus particles. It also does NOT decrease the filter life and last for the life of the filter. Microbes preferentially stick to the bio-molecules applied to the filter.

Electrostatic Replacement

The M-22 replacement media filter can be used in place of the electrostatic cell in the LAD2214 air purifier. There maybe times when a customer would like to switch from electrostatic to standard media filtration. If that is your desire you can disconnect the LAD2214 power supply and remove the electrostatic cell. The M-22 replacement media air filter can be inserted into its place.
