The V614 is the same as the V600 except with a Super HEPA upgrade instead of the True HEPA on the V600.  It has 18 lbs of specially enhanced carbon made to deal with ammonias, glues, VOC, and airborne chemicals. 3. If you have a cat marking in a same carpet spot it is always best to mitigate the issue by removing the carpet, pulling up the padding, cleaning the wood underneath, then replacing with new padding and if possible new carpet.  
4. You can tell when your carbon is saturated and needs replacing. It will omit a foul smell that some people call a burnt rubber smell.
